Recommendations for Women: 

PRENATAL RECS:

(2) Thorne Research – Basic Prenatal (Folate Multivitamin for Pregnant and Lactating Women). 

(3) If you don’t like taking pills (or suffer from nausea), recommend Prenatal Gummy option: SmartyPants Prenatal Complete Daily Gummy Vitamins

(1) Prenatal DHA by Nordic Naturals (Omega 3 + Vitamin D) (An essential fatty acid that improves fetal development, and maximizes blood flow to the uterus).

VITAMIN D RECS:

(1) Vitamin D3 5000 IU by Pure Encapsulations (Linked to boosting fertility in both women and men, enhanced immunity, and improved health outcomes of the fetus. Though more research is needed, it appears vitamin D levels are associated with improved IVF success rates, it appears the most important role vitamin D plays in reproduction may be within the uterus).

(2) D3 for Vegetarians/Vegans: Vitamin D3 by Nordic Naturals (plant-based formula sourced from lichen).

CO-Q10 Res:

Ubiquinol by Jarrow Formulas (“Active Antioxidant” form of Co-Q10, critical to energy production in the cell, linked to boosting fertility).

 

For women who have MTHFR metabolic error and need additional methylated folate, recommend: Thorne Research – 5-MTHF 1 mg Folate (methyltetrahydrofolate is the metabolically active form of folic acid which is found in nature). Once pregnant, consult with your physician, recommend women continue prenatal multivitamin, omega 3, and vitamin D3 dosage as directed by your health care physician (discontinue ubiquinol/CoQ10 and any herbal supplements).
