Kim has great enthusiasm for her work, and is passionate about helping individuals improve their overall health. By coupling nutritional counseling with her diverse background in business, fitness, and the performing arts, she provides a unique outlook on nutrition. She has learned through personal, academic, and clinical experience, that nutrition is completely individualized; there is no one size fits all approach to eating. Her vast career experience, coupled with listening to each client’s specific needs, allows her to bring a fresh and innovative approach to each coaching session.

Kim holds a Masters degree in Nutritional Science from California State University, Los Angeles, where she was honored with special recognition for superior scholastic achievement. She completed her dietetic internship in San Francisco, California through Iowa State University’s distance program. She earned dual degrees in Business and Dance Performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she moved to New York City where she performed professionally in Broadway national tours and various Off-Broadway productions, starred in national commercials and feature films, and appeared in fitness editorials for Shape, Yoga Life, and Cosmopolitan magazine. Kim’s involvement in the performing arts encouraged her to find ways to take care of her physical self in order to optimize performance. She quickly learned the importance exercise and nutrition play in enhancing the functioning of her body and developed a passion for health-related knowledge. While living in New York, Kim discovered a fitness technique inspired by former accomplished ballet dancer Lotte Berk, called Physique 57. She immediately took to the blend between fitness and dance and spent several years as an instructor in New York City. She then assisted with the opening of Physique 57’s first West coast-based studio in Beverly Hills, California. During her many years with the company she appeared in several promotional television segments including Access Hollywood, E News, NY 1, Studio 6 Portland, Good Day Austin, New Day North West, and taught a healthy living retreat at Canyon Ranch Resort in Miami, Florida. She is certified in Pilates through Balanced Body, and is a certified instructor in Ballet Barre, Zumba, and AFAA Group Fitness.
